LETSJOG!
On the 13th June 2009, a team of 10 runners will set off from Land’s End, the extreme South-westward point of Great Britain and will run as a relay team until they reach John o’ Groats, the extreme Northern point. The runners will take shifts to run either 2 or 4 hours per day for as many days as it takes to finish.
This challenge is not only mentally and physically demanding but it also presents huge logistical difficulties. The runners will be split up into teams of 3-4, which will be self-sufficient. Each team will be responsible for being at designated changeover points where the “baton” will be passed, at the correct time.
The 900 mile run is expected to take the best part of 7 days which means that those running 4 hr shifts will attempt to run over a marathon a day for 7 days. The members of the team will be running for various charities for which we hope to raise some dosh. Please click on 'Charities' to see who we're running for! Thank you for your support! LETSJOG team
