Why I'm in the team:Couldn’t pass up the opportunity of my 1st LE-JOG experience. Get to support some excellent charities. Also, good training for the Lakeland 100 in July.

Why I'm in the team: When you've just walked 95 miles across the Scottish highlands and your legs and feet hurt more than you can imagine, and your brother asks you: "Do you think it'd be possible to get a team together to run from Lands End to John O'Groats without stopping?", wouldn't you say yes??!! :-)
What I'm looking forward to the most: The end of my shift each day when I can relax and feel a bit smug that it's a massive...ummmm...22 hours until the next run. Seeing how well the people who are running for 4hours each day can walk by the end of the week. Oh, and that first glimpse of JohnO'Groats!

  • See the country
  • Test the endurance limits of the human body
  • Bit of a laugh
  • Increase the sporting CV

Future aspirations:To do the London Marathon - not for the want of trying though!
Why I'm in the team: : After failing to get into the London Marathon 2 years on the trot and having nutty friends like Rachel and Anna, I wanted to do something I could be proud of and the fact that it includes running, which I enjoy, being outside and off work for a week, spending time with my friends and raising money for charity I couldn't think of any reason why not!
What I'm looking forward to the most: Obviously the satisfaction of completing it, the end of my shift each day will be a relief and a triumph. The relaxing part of the day when taking off my trainers (maybe not relaxing to anyone else in my immediate vicinity though), and getting to see parts of the UK I’ve never seen before – brilliant!

I suspect the next goal will be un running related, I suspect I might have fallen out of love with it by the end of this challenge... Erm soo many things I haven't done... Bungee Jump, Sky Dive - wouldn't mind trying my hand at a climbing challenge, quite fancy a triathlon and would also like to trek the Inca Trail!
Why I'm in the team: Because Racheal who I haven't since for years, in fact since I left school randomly emailed me and said I don't suppose you would be up for...... And being known for my inability to say no - I agreed!
What I'm looking forward to the most: ?: It has to be the blisters, the achey feet, the sore muscles and waking up every morning knowing I have four hours to run! Eduardo Brent

Running achievements to date: no running achievements so far (since I have just started) but did take part in a sailing event in which we sailed round the isle of Wight in a team of five in the isle of Wight race (took around twelve hours) on a yacht, was great fun!!
Future aspirations: too much!..
Why I'm in the team: I had a phone call from my brother Charles one night and he said something about this event and I said "what’s that?", and he told me all about it and said that my other brother was meant to take part but dropped out so I said "why don’t I do it instead", and before I know it I’m on the team. Without any previous running I think it will be quite a challenge but overall I just feel so privileged to be able to take part in something this big in my first event so thanks everyone!!
What I'm looking forward to the most: I’m very excited overall and I’m just excited for all of it really and its going to be great not only pushing myself but I can imagine it will be great experiencing the surroundings as they change slowly up the country, and enjoying the views and also just to have a great time meeting new people and sharing the experience as a whole. It's quite hard to pick one specific part but I can’t wait for it to start!!
